Yep, you can fire guns at designated ranges. If you're allowed to in the Combined Cadet Corps in schools, it must be possible in the real world, outside of the army.

there are gun clubs everywhere, google it for your area you will be surprised. a big company l used to work for had their own club and l went along a few times and had a great time shooting handguns and rifles, and l did not need a licence either.

You can buy guns, but you need a gun licence, ie an authorised place to fire them, and an approved place to store the weapon and bolt seperatly

You can use rifles and black-powder or nitro guns in the UK but you will need to fill in a mountain of paperwork to get a license. There is probably a gun-club in your area that can walk you through procedures.

You can buy all gauges of shotgun's, rifles from a .17 up to a .50cal. AR15 .223/5.56 straight pull action. Even a hand gun.

You will of coarse need the licence to purchase.

To answer ur question pop along the local clay range. The MOD now leases firing ranges to gun clubs. You can use the .50cal at Radnor & Sennybridge.

Try a spot of game shooting. l will be on my peg at 10am tommorow having a crack at Pheasants.

section 2 license for shotguns (can be used where its safe)
section 1 for rifles and muzzle loading pistols (can be used at clubs and where a firearms officer says it is safe)
section 5 license for hand guns and prohibited military weapons (upto the home secretary but it is possable to own and use under some circumstances like humane dispatch of livestock)

yer sure u can try firing ranges & gun clubs that might help. they can be hard 2 find some times but there r lots around the country. u can ask ur local council where ur local club is. they r often those every day buildings that u do not know what they r used for but look unimportant.

when u first arrive they probably show u around & give u a form to fill & hand back before they even let u hold a gun. unless u can get hold of a gun licence u will not be allowed to take ammo or a gun out of the club grounds.

if u want to try & find clubs try looking at the National Small-bore Rifle Association (NRSA) if u want 2 shot rifle or pistol, if u want to shot anything else look at The British Association for Shooting & Conservation (BASC).
