Should l post questions about an air soft gun in this category? and what could l possibly hunt?
Sorry, l just got tierd of the same questions over and over again.
falconry, can air soft actually kill any thing? l had an airsoft trainer pistol that was only good to about 12 ft.

Maybe needs to segregate the forum topics a little more. There are air rifles that can be used for things like squirrels, chucks, similar varmints, so they do have a place in here, but they might be served better with a separate forum.Maybe the best option would be to break up into specific classes like: Centerfire,rim fire, air rifles. The air soft are not a ''weapon'' per se, but where else can we put them?

l mostly agree. needs some new categories like just ''firearms'' & ''self-defense'' & ''air guns''.

To the poster than says that airsoft r for children - l beg to disagree. A large number of police agencies use airsoft guns for training purposes. Airsoft guns r a decent means of teaching things like weapons retention & shoot do not shoot situation at close quarters.

l agree totally, but sometimes it IS a bit entertaining when these 'Juniors'' r getting all ''lets pretend l am a grown-up'' with dumba$$ crap like, 'How do l modify the upper of an MIA l to shoot up to 200 fps?' !!! Sh!t like that makes me laugh because l get suckered into reading the whole question until l realize l am reading an 8th grader sitting in Grammar class with a laptop. Oh well.

l like to make it into a game...Every time l sit down to Y/A, l grab a beer or six, & start reading questions. For every time u run into the same ol' run-of-the-mill questions like ''is the 30-06....or airsoft crap'' u take a drink. After a good half-hour, u dont give a sh!t anymore & at times, may even hope for one of the above questions!!! He!!, It is 7am in Wisconsin right now & l have a 6pm buzz on already!!!!! It is gonna be a great day!!!!

Y!A search does not work, as far as l am concerned Y! search does not work, suggested categories r often wrong, spell checker does not work, & Y!A need a lot of improvements regaurding categories, who gets marked as a top contributor, contolling spam.

Do not get pissy because can not get their shit stright. It is hard to find a good category for them. Do not legally qualify as toys, & should not be treated as such, & naming gets them put here.

Because u had a poor quality pistol. A good quality airsoft gun with an M120 spring or greater can take down a small bird, & with an M150-M170, u could likely give large rodents & simlar animals a humane death. Not meant for pest contol.

When l was but a little hunter, l had a pump BB rifle. l do not recall who made it; but with the recommended 10 pumps, it would easily kill large woodpeckers. l do not believe woodpeckers are much good to eat, so it would be a little silly to hunt them. Doves make a fantastic meal, and would be easy prey for a good pump. BB guns are also wonderful for killing aluminum cans. There is nothing quite like the *ting* a bb makes hitting a soda can.

Master T, someone was brilliant l never considered giving the police toy guns to train with. Of course considering some of the police NM has that might be best for them to carry airsoft at all times.
