l would like to get a ACCURATE .22 revolver single action that l can plink with but impress my friends too..l like the colt .22 frontier scout but l dont know if colt still makes them and if l can find one...my secong choice was the ruger .22 bearcat... well if you can help me find a good pistol, where to buy it at and at a fair price that would be awesome

l think the Ruger is your best option. The Colt is are collectible and very expensive.

Get a Ruger with a bull barrel. It is probably the cheapest you can get. Colt. l do not know either but l would bet the prices will have a big gap.

l have the blued version & wish l had bought the stainless one.

In pin shooting competitions this is the most widely used gun because it is accurate & easy to customize with after market parts to get it just how u want it.

The buckmark by Browning would be a distant second in my opinion, but l am biased. l considered both & l chose the Ruger. My only regret is not buying stainless steel.

The Ruger Single Six 22LR/22WMR convertible is a great wheel gun to plink with. It is very accurate as well. l bought a Ruger ''Old Model'' (3 Screw) 22LR/2WMR convert, for $170. The handgun is 46 years old, but still shoots great. It has a 6 1/2 inch barrel, so the accuracy is better then what u would get from a pistol with a 4 inch barrel.

Also look at the Heritage Rough Rider 22LR/22WMR convert. Another great wheel gun, that is fun & accurate. You can buy one for about $140, give or take a few. But beware. After about 2,000 rounds, u might have to have the firing pin replaced on the Rough Rider. But with a little know how, u can order the firing pin from Heritage & install it yourself.

Both revolvers r great guns. Shop around, u just might be lucky enough to come across a GEM. One u will never want to part with. I'vee had offers of $300-$600 for my Ruger Single Six. l just cant sell it, it is too sweet of a gun to part with.

-Edit- BTW al s & Mark R. The Browning Buckmark is a great feeling 22LR handgun, but it is a semi auto. Not a revolver, as he clearly has stated that is what he is looking for.
